CVE-2022-4459 is a Stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability affecting the WP Show Posts WordPress plugin prior to version 1.1.4. The flaw stems from insufficient validation and escaping of shortcode attributes, allowing authenticated users with contributor-level privileges to inject malicious scripts. This medium-severity vulnerability (CVSS 5.4) could lead to compromise of high-privilege user accounts, such as administrators, if they view a crafted page. There is currently no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code, or significant community discussion surrounding this CVE.
