CVE-2022-44566 is a denial of service vulnerability affecting ActiveRecord's PostgreSQL adapter versions prior to 7.0.4.1 and 6.1.7.1. An attacker can trigger a slow sequential scan, leading to a denial of service, by providing out-of-range 64-bit signed integer values to the adapter, causing it to incorrectly treat the target column as numeric. This vulnerability has a CVSS score of 7.5 (High) due to its network-based attack vector, low attack complexity, and high impact on availability. There is currently no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code, or significant community discussion surrounding this CVE.
