CVE-2022-43970 describes a stack-based buffer overflow in the httpd binary of Linksys WRT54GL Wireless-G Broadband Routers with firmware versions 4.30.18.006 and earlier. This vulnerability allows an authenticated administrator to execute arbitrary commands as root on the underlying Linux operating system by sending a crafted POST request to /apply.cgi. With a CVSS score of 7.2 (HIGH), the vulnerability has a network attack vector, low attack complexity, and high impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
