It stems from improper memory management, allowing an attacker to trigger a stack-based overflow or use a dangling pointer when a victim opens a specially crafted CATIA5 Part file. With a CVSS score of 7.8 (High), this vulnerability requires user interaction (opening a malicious file) but can lead to full compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
