CVE-2022-40628 is a critical vulnerability affecting Tacitine EN6200-PRIME QUAD-35 and EN6200-PRIME QUAD-100 firewalls, versions 19.1.1 to 22.20.1. It stems from improper code generation control in the web-based management interface. An unauthenticated remote attacker can exploit this by sending a specially crafted HTTP request, leading to arbitrary command execution on the device. With a CVSS score of 9.8 (Critical), this vulnerability is easily exploitable over the network with low attack complexity and no user interaction, resulting in complete compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability. There is currently no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code (Metasploit, Nuclei, ExploitDB), or significant community discussion surrounding this CVE.
