CVE-2022-39044 is a hidden functionality vulnerability in numerous Buffalo network devices, allowing a network-adjacent attacker with administrative privileges to execute arbitrary OS commands. The vulnerability affects a wide range of Buffalo routers and access points across various firmware versions. With a CVSS score of 6.8 (Medium), exploitation requires network adjacency and high privileges, but can lead to complete compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
