CVE-2022-38789 is a critical Insecure Direct Object Reference (IDOR) vulnerability affecting Airties Smart Wi-Fi devices, specifically models air_4920, air_4921, and air_4971, in firmware versions prior to 2020-08-04. This flaw allows unauthenticated attackers to remotely alter both main and guest SSID names and their pre-shared keys (PSKs) to arbitrary values, and to map the local area network. With a CVSS score of 9.1 (Critical), the vulnerability is easily exploitable over the network with low attack complexity and no user interaction, leading to high confidentiality and integrity impacts.
