CVE-2022-38493 is a Denial of Service vulnerability affecting Rhonabwy versions 0.9.99 through 1.1.x before 1.1.7. The flaw stems from a missing RSA private key length check during RSA-OAEP decryption, allowing attackers to crash the application with a specially crafted JSON Web Encryption (JWE) token. Rated 7.5 HIGH on the CVSS scale, this vulnerability is easily exploitable over the network with low attack complexity and no user interaction required, leading to a complete loss of availability.
