CVE-2022-36099 is a critical vulnerability affecting XWiki Platform Wiki UI Main Wiki versions 5.3-milestone-2 through 13.10.5 and 14.0 through 14.3. It allows authenticated users with view access to inject arbitrary wiki syntax, including Groovy, Python, and Velocity script macros, via a URL parameter. This enables arbitrary code execution, bypassing security controls, leading to full compromise of data confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The vulnerability has a CVSS score of 8.8 (High) due to its network-based attack vector, low attack complexity, and high impact on all three security pillars.
