CVE-2022-34916 is a critical remote code execution (RCE) vulnerability affecting Apache Flume versions 1.4.0 through 1.10.0. It arises when a JMS Source configuration uses a JNDI LDAP data source URI, allowing an attacker controlling the LDAP server to execute arbitrary code. With a CVSS score of 9.8, this vulnerability is easily exploitable over the network with no user interaction, leading to complete compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Despite its severity, there is currently no public exploit code available, nor is there evidence of active exploitation or significant community discussion.
