CVE-2022-3229 is a critical authentication bypass vulnerability affecting Unified Intents' Unified Remote solution on Microsoft Windows. An unauthenticated remote attacker can exploit the web management interface to disable authentication for the Unified Remote protocol, subsequently gaining the ability to execute arbitrary code. This vulnerability carries a CVSS score of 9.8 (Critical) due to its network-based attack vector, low complexity, and complete compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Exploit code, including a Metasploit module, is publicly available, though there is currently no evidence of active exploitation, and community discussion and media coverage are minimal.
