CVE-2022-27227 is a high-severity vulnerability affecting PowerDNS Authoritative Server and Recursor, where insufficient validation of IXFR end conditions leads to incomplete zone transfers being treated as successful. This network-exploitable flaw allows an unauthenticated attacker to cause a denial of service (A:H) by corrupting DNS zone data.
