CVE-2022-22236 is an uninitialized pointer vulnerability in the SIP ALG of Juniper Networks Junos OS, affecting SRX and MX Series devices. An unauthenticated, network-based attacker can exploit this flaw by sending specific SIP packets, leading to a Denial of Service (DoS) due to the Packet Forwarding Engine (PFE) crashing and restarting. With a CVSS score of 7.5 (High), this vulnerability is easily exploitable over the network with low attack complexity, resulting in high availability impact.
