CVE-2022-22231 is an Unchecked Return Value to NULL Pointer Dereference vulnerability in Juniper Networks Junos OS on SRX Series devices. When Unified Threat Management (UTM) Enhanced Content Filtering and AntiVirus are enabled, processing specific transit traffic can cause the Packet Forwarding Engine (PFE) to crash and restart, leading to a Denial of Service (DoS). This vulnerability affects Junos OS 21.4 versions prior to 21.4R1-S2 and 21.4R2.
