CVE-2022-20717 is a denial-of-service vulnerability in the NETCONF process of Cisco SD-WAN vEdge Routers, stemming from insufficient memory management when handling large traffic volumes. An authenticated, local attacker can exploit this by sending malicious traffic, causing the device to run out of memory and crash. Rated Medium (CVSS 5.5), the attack requires local access and low privileges, but its impact is high availability loss.
