CVE-2022-20691 is a denial-of-service vulnerability in the Cisco Discovery Protocol (CDP) functionality of Cisco ATA 190 Series Adaptive Telephone Adapters. This flaw, caused by missing length validation in CDP packet header fields, allows an unauthenticated, adjacent attacker to exhaust device memory and force a restart by sending crafted CDP packets. With a CVSS score of 6.5 (Medium), it requires network adjacency and has a high impact on availability, but no impact on confidentiality or integrity.
