CVE-2022-20690 describes multiple high-severity vulnerabilities in the Cisco Discovery Protocol (CDP) functionality of Cisco ATA 190 Series Analog Telephone Adapters. These flaws, stemming from missing length validation checks, allow an unauthenticated, adjacent attacker to send a malicious CDP packet, leading to memory corruption within the device's internal CDP database. With a CVSS score of 8.8 (High), a successful exploit could result in high impact to confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
