35
FAUCET Score

CVE-2022-20650 describes a critical vulnerability in the NX-API feature of Cisco NX-OS Software, allowing an authenticated, remote attacker to execute arbitrary commands with root privileges. This is due to insufficient input validation, exploitable by sending a crafted HTTP POST request. With a CVSS score of 8.8 (High), the attack requires authentication but has low complexity and can lead to complete compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability. While the NX-API is disabled by default, there is no public exploit code available, nor is it known to be actively exploited, despite some community discussion and media coverage.
