CVE-2022-1777

23
FAUCET Score

CVE-2022-1777 is a high-severity authorization bypass vulnerability affecting the Filr WordPress plugin prior to version 1.2.2.1. Authenticated users, including subscribers, can exploit two AJAX actions lacking proper authorization checks, despite nonce protection that is leaked on the dashboard. This allows attackers to upload arbitrary HTML files or delete all/arbitrary files, leading to significant impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. There is currently no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code (Metasploit, Nuclei, ExploitDB), or significant community discussion or media coverage.
