CVE-2022-0237 is a privilege escalation vulnerability affecting Rapid7 Insight Agent versions 3.1.2.38 and earlier. An attacker can exploit an unquoted argument in the runas.exe command, used by the ir_agent.exe component, to hijack execution flow. This allows for elevated rights and persistent access to the compromised machine. With a CVSS score of 7.8 (HIGH), the vulnerability is locally exploitable with low attack complexity, leading to high impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
