CVE-2021-44758 is a NULL pointer dereference vulnerability affecting Heimdal versions prior to 7.7.1. An unauthenticated attacker can remotely trigger this flaw by sending a specially crafted SPNEGO acceptor request, leading to a denial-of-service condition. With a CVSS score of 7.5 (High), this vulnerability is easily exploitable over the network with low attack complexity and no user interaction required. There is currently no public exploit code available, nor is there any evidence of active exploitation or significant community discussion surrounding this CVE.
