CVE-2021-43114 is a denial-of-service vulnerability affecting FORT Validator versions prior to 1.5.2, including those used in Debian Linux. A malicious RPKI Certificate Authority can trigger a crash in the validator by publishing an X.509 EE certificate, causing BGP routers to lose access to critical RPKI data and effectively disabling Route Origin Validation. With a CVSS score of 7.5 (High), this vulnerability is easily exploitable over the network with low complexity, leading to a complete loss of availability for the RPKI validation service. There is currently no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code, or significant community discussion surrounding this CVE.
