CVE-2021-41292 is a critical authentication bypass vulnerability affecting ECOA BAS controllers and related firmware, including ECS Router Controller and Riskbuster products. An unauthenticated attacker can remotely bypass authentication via cookie poisoning, leading to sensitive information disclosure and manipulation of physical access controls and HVAC systems in smart homes and buildings. With a CVSS score of 9.1 (CRITICAL), this vulnerability is easily exploitable over the network with low attack complexity, resulting in high confidentiality and integrity impacts.
