CVE-2021-40165 is a high-severity buffer overflow vulnerability affecting Autodesk Image Processing components. It allows an attacker to execute arbitrary code by crafting malicious TIFF, PICT, TGA, or RLC files, which can write beyond allocated memory during parsing. The attack requires user interaction (UI:R) and local access (AV:L), but has high impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability (C:H/I:H/A:H).
