The flaw stems from a hardcoded machineKey in the web.config file, allowing attackers to send serialized ASP code. With a CVSS score of 9.8 (CRITICAL), this vulnerability is easily exploitable over the network with no authentication or user interaction required, leading to complete compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
