CVE-2021-38410 is a high-severity DLL hijacking vulnerability (CVSS 7.8) affecting AVEVA Software Platform Common Services (PCS) Portal versions 4.5.2 and earlier, as well as several other AVEVA products. An attacker could exploit this by placing a malicious DLL in an uncontrolled search path, leading to high impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. While the attack requires user interaction (UI:R) and local access (AV:L), there is currently no public exploit code (Metasploit, Nuclei, ExploitDB) or evidence of active exploitation, and it has received minimal community discussion or media coverage.
