CVE-2021-37740 describes a denial-of-service vulnerability in MDT KNXnet/IP Secure routers (SCN-IP100.03) and interfaces (SCN-IP000.03) prior to firmware v3.0.4. A remote, unauthenticated attacker can render the affected device unresponsive by sending a malformed SESSION_REQUEST frame, requiring a manual reboot to restore functionality. Rated 7.5 HIGH on the CVSS scale, this vulnerability is easily exploitable over the network with low attack complexity and no user interaction, leading to a complete loss of availability.
