CVE-2021-34371

35
FAUCET Score

CVE-2021-34371 is a critical deserialization vulnerability affecting Neo4j versions up to 3.4.18 when the shell server is enabled. It allows unauthenticated remote attackers to achieve remote code execution by exploiting an RMI service that arbitrarily deserializes Java objects. With a CVSS score of 9.8, this vulnerability presents a severe risk due to its network-based attack vector, low attack complexity, and high impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Despite its critical severity and high EPSS score, there is currently no public exploit code available (Metasploit, Nuclei, ExploitDB), and it is not listed on the KEV catalog. Community discussion and media coverage are also minimal, suggesting low public awareness.
