CVE-2021-32521 describes a critical vulnerability in QSAN Storage Manager, XEVO, and SANOS where the MAC address is used as an authenticated password, allowing local attackers to escalate privileges. With a CVSS score of 9.8 (CRITICAL), this flaw is easily exploitable over the network with low complexity, enabling full compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability. While no public exploits, Metasploit modules, or Nuclei templates are currently available, and there is minimal community discussion, the fundamental design flaw (CWE-259, CWE-798) presents a significant risk.
