CVE-2021-30642 is a critical input validation flaw in Symantec Security Analytics web UI versions 7.2 prior to 7.2.7, 8.1 prior to 8.1.3-NSR3, and 8.2 prior to 8.2.1-NSR2 or 8.2.2. This vulnerability allows a remote, unauthenticated attacker to execute arbitrary operating system commands with elevated privileges. With a CVSS score of 9.8 (CRITICAL), it presents a severe risk due to its network-based attack vector, low attack complexity, and complete compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability. There is currently no public exploit code available (Metasploit, Nuclei, ExploitDB), nor is it listed in CISA's KEV catalog, and it has received no significant community discussion or media coverage.
