42
FAUCET Score

CVE-2021-29622 is an open redirect vulnerability affecting Prometheus versions 2.23.0 through 2.26.0, stemming from a flaw in the /new UI redirect mechanism. An unauthenticated attacker can craft a malicious URL that, when visited by a user, redirects them to an arbitrary external website. This vulnerability is rated Medium severity (CVSS 6.1) due to its network-based attack vector, low complexity, and potential for limited confidentiality and integrity impact, primarily through phishing or social engineering. While there is no evidence of active exploitation or Metasploit modules, Nuclei templates exist for detection, and the vulnerability has received minimal community discussion or media coverage.
