CVE-2021-28840 is a Null Pointer Dereference vulnerability in the upload_config function of the sbin/httpd binary affecting various D-Link DAP series access points. An unauthenticated attacker can trigger this vulnerability remotely by sending a specially crafted HTTP GET request, causing the device to crash and resulting in a denial of service. While rated as High severity (CVSS 7.5), there is currently no public exploit code, evidence of active exploitation, or significant community discussion surrounding this vulnerability.
