CVE-2021-28361 is a high-severity vulnerability affecting Storage Performance Development Kit (SPDK) versions prior to 20.01.01. It allows an unauthenticated attacker to crash the iSCSI target via a NULL pointer dereference by sending a specially crafted PDU with a zero length when data is expected. Mar 10, 2021An issue was discovered in Storage Performance Development Kit (SPDK) before 20.01.01. If a PDU is sent to the iSCSI target with a zero length (but data is expected) the iSCSI target can crash with a NULL pointer dereference.
