An unauthenticated attacker can exploit this by sending a specially crafted IPC message to the exposed ipcRenderer IPC interface, leveraging the dangerous openExternal API. With a CVSS score of 9.8, this vulnerability allows for complete compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability. There is currently no public exploit code, Metasploit module, or significant community discussion, and it is not known to be actively exploited.
