CVE-2021-27502 is an integer overflow vulnerability affecting Texas Instruments TI-RTOS when using the default HeapMem heap. This flaw allows an attacker to trigger HeapMem_allocUnprotected with extremely large values, leading to a small buffer allocation and potential code execution. With a CVSS score of 7.8 (High), it presents a significant risk, as a local, low-privileged attacker could achieve high confidentiality, integrity, and availability impacts with low attack complexity. Despite its severity, there is currently no public exploit code available, no evidence of active exploitation, and minimal community discussion or media coverage.
