CVE-2021-26117 is a high-severity authentication bypass vulnerability affecting Apache ActiveMQ Artemis versions prior to 2.16.0 and Apache ActiveMQ versions prior to 5.16.1 and 5.15.14, as well as products from Debian, NetApp, and Oracle. When the optional LDAP login module is configured for anonymous access, the system incorrectly uses the anonymous context to validate user passwords, effectively bypassing password checks. This vulnerability has a CVSS score of 7.5 (High) due to its network-based attack vector, low attack complexity, and high impact on integrity (I:H), allowing unauthenticated attackers to gain unauthorized access. Despite its severity, there is no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code (Metasploit, Nuclei, ExploitDB), or significant community discussion or media coverage.
