CVE-2021-25830 is a critical remote code execution (RCE) vulnerability affecting ONLYOFFICE DocumentServer versions 4.2.0.236 through 5.6.4.13. This flaw stems from a file extension handling issue within the core module, which, when combined with two other string handling bugs, allows an unauthenticated attacker to execute arbitrary code by requesting the conversion of a specially crafted DOCT file to DOCX format. With a CVSS score of 9.8, this vulnerability presents a severe risk due to its network-based attack vector, low complexity, and complete compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Despite its critical severity, there is currently no public exploit code available (Metasploit, Nuclei, ExploitDB), nor is there evidence of active exploitation or significant community discussion or media coverage.
