CVE-2021-24171 is a critical vulnerability affecting the WooCommerce Upload Files WordPress plugin prior to version 59.4. Attackers could bypass file extension sanitization by embedding blocked extensions or using a double extension attack with path traversal, allowing arbitrary file uploads, including PHP files. With a CVSS score of 9.8 (CRITICAL), this vulnerability is easily exploitable over the network with no user interaction, leading to complete compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability. There is currently no public exploit code available, and the vulnerability has received minimal community discussion or media coverage.
