CVE-2021-20278 is an authentication bypass vulnerability affecting Kiali versions prior to 1.31.0 when configured with OpenID implicit flow and RBAC disabled. This flaw allows an unauthenticated attacker to bypass Kiali's authentication mechanism due to insufficient token validation. Rated Medium severity (CVSS 6.5), it can be exploited remotely with low attack complexity, potentially leading to unauthorized access and information disclosure. There is currently no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code, or significant community discussion surrounding this vulnerability.
