CVE-2021-1362 is a critical vulnerability in the SOAP API endpoint of Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Cisco Unity Connection, and Cisco Prime License Manager, stemming from improper input sanitization. An authenticated, remote attacker can exploit this to execute arbitrary code with root privileges on the underlying Linux operating system. With a CVSS score of 8.8 (High), this vulnerability is easily exploitable over the network with low complexity, requiring only user authentication.
