CVE-2021-1309

CVE-2021-1309 describes multiple critical vulnerabilities in the Link Layer Discovery Protocol (LLDP) implementation of Cisco Small Business RV Series Routers. An unauthenticated, adjacent attacker can exploit these flaws to achieve arbitrary code execution, memory leaks, or device reloads, leading to denial of service. With a CVSS score of 8.8 (High), exploitation requires Layer 2 adjacency, but no user interaction. There is currently no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code (Metasploit, Nuclei, ExploitDB), or significant community discussion or media coverage surrounding this CVE.
