CVE-2021-0233 is a Denial of Service (DoS) vulnerability in Juniper Networks Junos OS affecting ACX500 and ACX4000 Series devices running versions prior to 17.4R3-S2. An unauthenticated attacker can remotely trigger a Forwarding Engine Board (FFEB) crash by sending a high rate of specific packets, sustaining the DoS condition with continued receipt. With a CVSS score of 7.5 (HIGH), this vulnerability is easily exploitable over the network with low attack complexity, leading to a complete loss of availability. There is currently no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code (Metasploit, Nuclei, ExploitDB), or significant community discussion or media coverage.
