CVE-2020-9523 is an insufficiently protected credentials vulnerability affecting Micro Focus Enterprise Developer and Enterprise Server versions prior to 4.0 Patch Update 16 and 5.0 Patch Update 6. This high-severity vulnerability (CVSS 8.8) allows an attacker to transmit hashed credentials of the Micro Focus Directory Server (MFDS) user account to an arbitrary site, leading to a complete compromise of that account. Despite its critical impact, there is no evidence of active exploitation, publicly available exploit code, or significant community discussion surrounding this CVE.
