CVE-2020-6977 describes a restricted desktop environment escape vulnerability in the Kiosk Mode of several GE Ultrasound products, including various Vivid, LOGIQ, Voluson, Versana Essential, Invenia ABUS Scan station, and Venue models. This medium-severity vulnerability (CVSS 6.8) allows an unauthenticated attacker with physical access to the device to use specially crafted inputs to bypass the Kiosk Mode, gaining full access to the underlying operating system and potentially compromising confidentiality, integrity, and availability. There is currently no public exploit code available, nor is there evidence of active exploitation or significant community discussion surrounding this CVE.
