CVE-2020-5633

28
FAUCET Score

CVE-2020-5633 describes a critical authentication bypass vulnerability in the Baseboard Management Controller (BMC) firmware (Rev1.09 and earlier) of several NEC Express5800 and iStorage NS100Ti products. This flaw allows unauthenticated remote attackers to gain full control over the BMC, enabling them to modify settings, access monitoring data, or reboot/shutdown affected devices. With a CVSS score of 9.8 (CRITICAL), the vulnerability is easily exploitable over the network with low attack complexity, leading to complete compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability. While no public exploit code or active exploitation has been observed, and community discussion is minimal, the high risk score and potential for severe impact warrant immediate patching.
