CVE-2020-27301 is a high-severity stack buffer overflow vulnerability affecting Realtek RTL8710 and other Ameba-based Wi-Fi devices. An attacker within Wi-Fi range can achieve remote code execution by sending a specially crafted "Encrypted GTK" value during the WPA2 4-way handshake. This attack requires low privileges and no user interaction, leading to high impacts on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Despite its high CVSS score of 8.0, there is currently no public exploit code available, no evidence of active exploitation, and minimal community discussion or media coverage.
