CVE-2020-17368 is a critical command injection vulnerability affecting Firejail versions through 0.9.62, as well as products from Debian, Fedora Project, and OpenSUSE. This flaw, rated 9.8 CVSS (Critical), stems from Firejail's improper handling of shell metacharacters when using the --output or --output-stderr options, allowing an unauthenticated attacker to execute arbitrary commands remotely with high impact on confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Despite its severity, there is currently no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code (Metasploit, Nuclei, ExploitDB), or significant community discussion or media coverage.
