CVE-2020-15687 describes a missing access control vulnerability in the Hypervisor component of the ACRN Project (versions 2.0 and 1.6.1). An attacker with root access in the Service VM userspace can exploit this by crafting malicious ioctls and payloads to abuse PCIe assign/de-assign Hypercalls. This attack, rated High severity (CVSS 7.5), can lead to a Denial of Service for previously assigned PCIe devices. There is currently no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code, or significant community discussion surrounding this vulnerability.
