CVE-2020-15518 is a critical vulnerability in Veeam Availability Suite and Veeam Backup & Replication versions prior to 10, where the VeeamFSR.sys driver lacks proper device object DACL, enabling unprivileged users to gain full control over filesystem I/O. With a CVSS score of 8.8 (High), this vulnerability allows for remote, low-complexity attacks that can lead to complete compromise of confidentiality, integrity, and availability. There is currently no evidence of active exploitation, nor are there publicly available exploit modules in Metasploit or Nuclei, and it has received minimal community discussion or media coverage.
