CVE-2020-14375 is a high-severity vulnerability (CVSS 7.8) affecting DPDK versions prior to 18.11.10 and 19.11.5, as well as various Canonical and OpenSUSE products utilizing DPDK. An attacker within a virtual machine can manipulate virtio ring descriptors and their associated data after host validation, leading to potential compromise of data confidentiality, integrity, and system availability. While the attack complexity is high, it requires low privileges and no user interaction. There is currently no evidence of active exploitation, public exploit code, or significant community discussion surrounding this vulnerability.
